The CAPS (Center For Advanced Professional Studies) model focuses on experiential, professional-based learning. At Nebo CAPS, high school students engage deeply in a professional culture, tackling real-world problems through employer mentorship while earning high school credits.

Our objectives at Nebo CAPS include:
Improve Community Outreach: We are passionate about leveraging professional experiences to develop meaningful high school internships and projects for our students. Our guiding principle is, 'what is the 10th item on your to-do list, and would you be willing to assign that to our students?' Beyond one-on-one collaborations with community partners, we seek to engage professional networks to identify additional real-world projects for our students.
Increase Student Engagement: Each student will undertake at least one Capstone project each semester, whether it’s a project they are passionate about (a "Passion Project") or done in cooperation with an industry partner. This ensures that all students graduate from our program having gained valuable experience through real-world initiatives.
Instill Professional Skills: A key component of the CAPS program is fostering the professional skills necessary for success in the workplace. These encompass skills like professional business communication, interview techniques, social media responsibility, resume writing, and effective problem-solving strategies, all of which are crucial for the future job market.
