At Nebo School District, we occasionally engage in projects that go beyond the traditional classroom setting, providing students with valuable real-world experience akin to internships.
In the summer of 2024, students Abby Peay and Ella Chilton participated in a Nebo CTE internship with the non-profit organization Playon. This summer program aims to encourage young elementary school kids to step away from their phones. Abby and Ella focused on social media and PR work for the organization.
During the 2024-2025 school year, Ella Chilton had the opportunity to work with a local business leader seeking a part-time employee for eCommerce tasks. Through this internship, which is part of the Nebo School District internships, Ella learned how to set up and manage professional Amazon pages for various products.
In spring 2025, students Ally Arnold, Bri Bagley, and Haylee Lambert assisted in lab work at Pure Earth Labs. They spent four weeks at the lab acquiring skills to create different skin care products, thereby enhancing their real-world experience.
In the summer of 2025, Bri Bagley completed an internship with Payson City, where she contributed to various PR, social media, and event planning initiatives for the city.
